That was the reaction from my then-10 year old when I showed him the electricity bill once… If your children are clueless about your household finances, it’s your fault. That’s what makes a survey from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) so significant. The group, which represents about 78,000 CAs across the country, found 78% of Canadians 16 to 22 years old are familiar with their parents’ financial situation.
