It was a day to remember for the Wauters family as they were honoured July 11 as one of 18 families in the province to receive this year’s Calgary Stampede BMO Farm Family Award. The presentation was made during the Calgary Stampede and Eugene and Virginia Wauters were joined by most of their family to accept the recognition as the County of Lethbridge’s selection for 2011… He was delighted to share the honour with five of his six kids and 10 of his 14 grandchildren in attendance for the award presentation. A daughter, Karen, who is a chartered accountant living in Luxembourg was too far away to join the festivities but will be back in Southern Alberta this summer with her husband and four kids to visit with friends and family. http://www.sunnysouthnews.com/news/local-news/659-stampede-farm-family-honour-for-wauters.html
