Business leaders elated about Alberta economy

Alberta business leaders are highly optimistic about the provincial economy, with growing confidence in the job market, a new survey shows… Ian Gunn [CA], partner and leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ private company services practice in Alberta, said a number of factors have contributed to the rising optimism of business owners in the province… “In a nutshell, the biggest thing is that all other factors that you would be following are indicating that the economy is going to be strong. There’s a good support from oil, and oil-based businesses are doing well. The future going into next year looks very, very strong,” said Gunn. “Calgary businesses and Edmonton businesses are very optimistic about where the future is going. At the same time it’s a strong result for the current business conditions, which is all very positive towards where the economic outlook for businesses in Alberta are right now.”
