As a self-governing profession, CAs enjoy both privileges and responsibilities. It is an ongoing commitment to professionalism, ethical behaviour, competence and accountability to one’s peers that makes a professional designation valuable. To this end, the ICAA, and its members, are guided by a series of governing documents. To see the ICAA’s governing documents, including the Regulated Accounting Profession Act, Chartered Accountants Regulations, Bylaws, Rules, and combined Rules and Guidelines and Council Resolutions, click here. The ICAA Handbook is also available in CD and print format. Those requesting the entire Handbook in hardcopy format will be subject to a fee, based on cost-recovery. Requests for hardcopy updates (only) and filing instructions will be provided at no cost. Please forward requests to Chris Pilger at 1-800-232-9406 or c.pilger@icaa.ab.ca.
