The ICAA is committed to providing all members cost effective professional development opportunities. The Corporate Passport and Personal Passport provide volume discounts on our seminars and other PD products and are valid for twelve (12) months starting April 1, 2011 and ending March 31, 2012. All 2011 passports must be used towards passport valid seminars and products that take place on or before March 31, 2012. Any unused tickets will expire after March 31, 2012. Passports cannot be transferred to the next PD year for any reason.
You qualify as a member to purchase a passport if you are a Canadian Chartered Accountant or a Certified Management Accountant of Alberta (CMAA) who is a proprietor or partner of a registered Public Accounting Firm or Professional Service Provider, registerd with the ICAA or CMAA. Each Passport Ticket is valid for approximately one (1) hour of Professional Development training or products. Both the 2011 Personal and Corporate Passports have 40 tickets. Tickets can be used to attend a breakfast, half-day, full-day, two-day seminar and other CPD products. (Please refer to #7 CPD Seminar & Product Passport Ticket Usage Guidelines.)
Designed for group savings, the Corporate Passport is transferable between all CAs and non-CAs within your organization. Share up to forty (40) hours of ICAA CPD seminars between employees, colleagues and clients. You can choose any combination of breakfast, half-day, full-day, two-day seminars, or other CPD Products. The Corporate Passport costs $1,775 plus GST.
The Personal Passport is only available to members and is non-transferable (only the Passport holder can use it). It is valid for forty (40) hours of ICAA CPD seminars or products. You can choose any combination of breakfast, half-day, full-day, two-day seminars as well as any self study materials or other CPD products. The Personal Passport costs $1,350 plus GST.
Passports can be purchased using the purchase registration form in our CPD Catalogue or at: http://www.albertacas.ca/ProfessionalDevelopment/Forms.aspx. A limited number of both the Corporate and Personal Passports are available starting April 1, 2011 and are sold on a first-come first-serve basis. To take advantage of this program you are encouraged to make your purchase early to avoid disappointment. Once passports are sold out they will not be available until the following year.
Passports are not refundable.
All CPD Terms & Conditions for registering for seminars apply to individuals registering for a seminar using Passport tickets. As with other registrations, registrations and purchases using Passport Tickets are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registrations using Passports are subject to the same terms, conditions and deadlines as other payment methods. NOTE: Payment using a Corporate or Personal Passport, registrations must be received ten (10) business days prior to the seminar date. Registrations received within ten (10) business days of the seminar start date will be subject to the Regular Seminar Fee as outlined in Section 4 (CPD Fees) of the 2011 CPD Terms & Conditions.
Personal and Corporate Passport Tickets can only be used for ICAA seminars in Alberta ONLY. Unless otherwise noted, Passport Tickets can be used to register for any seminar in the catalogue or on the ICAA website. Certain ICAA seminars, programs or products may NOT be eligible for the Passport Program; these are clearly indicated in the catalogue and on the website as Passport Invalid. Please read individual product pricing information fully for passport applicability. In some cases, a discount may be available to Passport holders upon redemption of a specified Passport Ticket, with or without an additional fee is payable. These are clearly identified.
If you have remaining Tickets on your passport and would like to attend a seminar that requires additional Tickets, Passport holders can purchase up to 3 additional Tickets of Professional Development training for each Passport they own. Each additional Ticket for a Personal Passport is $33.75 + GST and for a Corporate Passport is $44.50 + GST.
