CAEF Matching Program

To enhance the impact of financial support from Chartered Accountants, the CAEF has instituted a targeted matching program for donations from individuals CAs for approved university campaigns.

There are currently two such programs that have received the approval of the CAEF Board of Governors:

• The University of Alberta’s CA Fund for Faculty Excellence supports the recruitment, retention, and work of top-tier professors of accounting, a key priority area for their School of Business. The fund will primarily help support two key programs—the CA Chair in Accounting, as well as the school’s renowned PhD program.

• The University of Saskatchewan’s CA Fund for Competency Development will support the planned Centre of Excellence in Competency-Based Accounting Education. The centre’s primary focus will be the development of education that focuses on the application of knowledge in the workplace and not on the acquisition of knowledge alone, at the undergraduate and graduate level across the country and internationally.
