Message from the Chair

For over 25 years, the Chartered Accountants Education  Foundation of Alberta (CAEF) has served to strengthen the profession’s relationship with students, educators and post-secondary institutions.

Each year the Foundation is honoured to receive contributions from every Alberta CA. Through these contributions, combined with additional generous donations from members of the community, we help attract the best and the brightest to the CA profession. In its first quarter-century, the CAEF has provided over $10 million towards accounting education. This is truly an outstanding accomplishment of which all CAs and donors should be proud.

But this is just the beginning. The Foundation remains committed to providing operational support to the post-secondary institutions supplying the majority of CAs in Alberta, directly supporting students through scholarships and bursaries, funding qualified individuals to pursue their PhDs and awarding exceptional educators at the university level with the CAEF Teaching Prize. It is through these avenues of support that we can continue making a tremendous impact in our universities and CA program.
