A Glimpse Into Your Future

Tell us (in 2 ½ minutes or less) what you think becoming a Chartered Accountant can mean for your career and life, and you could win $5,000—$2,500 for you and $2,500 for you to award to your school!

Your CA designation will make a powerful statement about you. About the value of your abilities and ideas. About the exceptional standards to which you hold yourself. And about all that you stand to accomplish throughout your career.

Make a statement. Become a CA. 

What you need to know:

• Submissions will be accepted until 12 NOON PST on November 30, 2011.
  Finalists will be announced on December 16, 2011 and their videos will be posted on the Become a CA YouTube channel.
• A 30 day voting period will then commence and finalists will attempt to get the highest number of “likes” for their video. Finalists are encouraged to promote their video using various social media outlets.
• The voting period will end January 16, 2012, at which point the number of “likes” will be tallied.
• The winner will be announced on January 23, 2012.

The specifics:

• You must be registered at a post-secondary institution in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba
• Your video must be no longer than 2.5 minutes
• You may enter the competition individually or in a team of up to 3 students. All members of a team must be registered at the same post-secondary institution.
• Your video must adhere to the theme: “A Glimpse into Your Future”
• Your video must be an original creation
• You must incorporate the following two websites into your video: www.becomea.ca and www.caipw.ca

You’re exhilarated by the endless possibilities for your future as a Chartered Accountant—and you should be! Your career in accounting can take you far beyond numbers and balance sheets—whether you start your own company or travel the world with a global firm, the possibilities are endless.

We want you to visualize what becoming a Chartered Accountant can do for YOUR career and life. Translate that vision into a video of less than 2.5 minutes in length. Your video will be judged on creativity, originality, and relevance to this theme.
