The ICAA is committed to providing relevant, timely information to all students.
For those individuals instructing or otherwise contributing at the post-secondary level, we want to keep you and your students informed about a CA career and about the educational process required to become a CA. We welcome the opportunity to meet with you and your colleagues to discuss the CA designation and receive your feedback. We also would be pleased to come speak to your students about a CA Career, CASB, or any other issues. We provide brochures, CDs, and other materials to support your efforts in keeping students informed.
If you are a high school teacher or guidance counsellor, we would be happy to visit your school for a presentation to a group of students or class, or to take part in your school's Career Fair or Post-Secondary Fair. We provide brochures, CDs, and other materials to for use in your library or career resource area. For more information, contact Amanda Radakovitch at a.radakovitch@icaa.ab.ca.
The ICAA sends out career kits every fall to Alberta post-secondary institutions as well as Alberta high schools. The career kits provide students with information regarding the requirements for the CA program. If you would like additional career kits sent to your institution or high school, or would like to be added to the mailing list, please contact Amanda Radakovitch at a.radakovitch@icaa.ab.ca.
Alberta's Chartered Accountants also support education initiatives through the Chartered Accountant's Education Foundation of Alberta (CAEF). Established in 1982, the CAEF's mission is to advocate excellence in accounting education. The foundation serves as the profession's vehicle for assembling funds, building endowments and encouraging voluntary donations in order to develop initiatives that assist educational institutions to achieve excellence in the learning environment and encourage interaction between CAs, educators, and students.
